Explanation:
I'll admit I know very little about both artists. DJ Dog Dick, real name Max Eisenberg is a noise artist who I mostly know about from a few collabs with rapper Lil Ugly Mane. 'Rap Bastard', aka HZMT I know actually nothing of.
When I added this release to my list is was mainly to illustrate just how many lost releases there is for Eisenberg. He released most of his stuff cassette only, and even though he was ahead of the curb, never got much attention cause of that.
As I was writing this, I looked into HZMT / Rap Bastard / Anthony Miller and damn does he have a lot of missing and undocumented releases. He ran his own label and released almost everything exclusively on cassette. A true indie artist.
Both artists really have large catalogues, though you wouldn't know from just checking their Spotify or Bandcamp page.
The tape consists of two sides, both untitled. Side A is Rap Bastard's side. It's a 15-minute session or someone rapping over a super lo-fi and quiet beat, seemingly making up lyrics as the song goes on. It feels more like a freestyle than anything. I have no idea who's rapping. There are three people credited on the tape, the two artists and a Broken Knuckles Malone who I cannot find any information about. Side B belongs to DJ Dog Dick. It's a noise improvisation session seeing Eisenberg mess with electrical signals(?) for 15 minutes.
Honestly, with what I know about Eisenberg's work it's about what I was expecting.
With all the waffling people do about Industrial Hip Hop and Noise rap it's cool to see how ahead of the curve HZMT and Eisenberg were.

Reasons for Disappearance: Don't really have anything to add. Both artists released their stuff physical only, never put it up online and never re-issued it. You had to be there to get it or find a second-hand copy elsewhere.
I have no idea where either of these guys are today. DJ Dog Dick has a Bandcamp but isn't terribly active. I can't find out what happened to Anthony Miller but the last release I can find was in 2013.
It was found thanks to RYM user tib. He ended up purchasing the tape off Discogs and ripping it where it now resides. Big ups to him!
